Title: 84 k30 350 engine sputter
Post by: 46binder on August 28, 2014, 07:57:20 pm
New problem with my truck, 350, quadrajet was rebuilt maybe 6 months ago, new fuel lines, new pump and new gas tank and sending unit.  As I accelerate, after the engine is warmed up, I started getting a 'miss', a sputter, where it is like it would die.  It keeps going, but the sputter is the same as when I start the engine, don't let it warm up enough and try to drive and it would sputter and if too cold, die.  That is why I think it is a fuel issue.  I seemed to get it more at speeds around 45-50, don't go much faster though.  If I stomp on it when it sputters, it stops.  Replacing the cheapo fuel filter is my first step, but any ideas?
