Post by: Stewart G Griffin on September 03, 2014, 09:02:39 pm
Not sure what happened the original post, but anyways are there any tips for removing the vent window from the frame?

You should ask Chris what happened to the original post.
      Here is a video on U-tube.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WiZOiHmcb_w
It is for 67-72, but the process would be the same.  He does mention that fact in the video.

Are you trying to get the glass out or the frame or remove the vent assembly?
If Glass, is it broken or not?

i'm trying to get the vent window (glass only) out of the frame, not the whole assembly, but just the frame which is a compression type fit.

i got one from a "private junkyard" on tuesday.

Yes. As Chris said-  it takes some pryin---The glass is installed in a gasket, which then is put into the vent frame. It sticks pretty well... you might have to bend the curvature of the frame out a bit to remove the glass.
