Just picked up a plow truck that was assembled from 3 different trucks.
As far as I can tell it has a 1977 K20 frame with 1986 shell.
There is a built 350 with turbo 350 and a NP203 with lockouts.
Assuming GM axles, rear is 14 bolt front 12 bolt, hope he matched ratios.
From the shifter I had thought I had the NP205 and it has the knob from one, but crawled under to find the NP203...
Getting her ready for plowing, headers were rotted out, bout cheapo stainless ebay style, they were slightly larger tube and fit like a glove, all new brakes all around, few bearings in rear, it was a mess in rear, brakes loose 1 side, other side packed with grease, and not just the bearings which is a no-no, the whole darn drum was packed, they had cooked a bearing there once, keyway was beat up, missing thrust washer.
Swapping out water pump for high flow, adding dual batteries, new hoses on plow, high torque starter, all new steering linkages and steering damper, then off to rewire the beast, it is a mess, full of 18 gauge wires running things they shouldn't be, and then to wire up the plow lights...
Anyhow, looks like the right places to find some information if needed an access to parts nearby, chat at you all later...

Ended up rebuilding the TH350 and then replacing the NP203 due to a vibration at highways speeds.
Discovered both lockouts and spider gears in front were bad along with all 4 ball joints. 10F outdoor project.
Started another topic under drivetrain for my new project, installing Vortec heads onto my 880 block, check there for updates to this squarebody American steel machine...

Welcome from AZ.,I remember that when I lived in Illinois. I knew a guy who brought a brand new 79, had a plow put on it and paid for it from plowing the snow in the storm we had in 79.Have fun in the snow.
