I was warming my truck up this morning and i notice that what i thought was water coming out of the exhaust. But when i smelt it it was gas.I just got done checking the timeing. Its dead on.?
I havent really looked into it and i am not really good at trouble shooting this kinda stuff only working on cars for 3 like 3 years now.

your carb is running rich, the cause of this problem can be many things. some of them could be a stuck float, a bad accelerator pump, leaking gasket in the carb. or the carb just needs to be re tuned

Check your ignition system as well.  Its basically not burning all the fuel that's in the combustion chamber.

What are you running for exhaust?  My 87 had straight pipe off the headers and it would shower the ground.  I added glasspacks and improved milage and it burned more of the fuel.  My 76 ran rich until I removed the 795 Q-Jet I was running and added a 600 edelbrock.

I had a distrubator that was points and it was horrible so I put a electric one in and it stoped. :)
