...problem solved. Vapor lock

Hard to start can mean the starter doesn't turn the engine over quickly or it turns over fine but no combination of pumping the pedal and turning over the engine seems to make it start. Please describe what you do to start it once it is up to temperature and what happens when you try to start it.
One quick thing to check is that when your truck is up to temperature, with the engine off: remove the breather from the carburetor and just move the throttle a little with your hand. Just make sure that the choke doesn't snap closed when you do that. It should stay practically all the way open.

Did you figure this out?

Might not have anything to do with the hard start, but I would switch it over to HEI distributor, bet rid of the two coil mess.

So, do you mean when the engine is warm it's hard to start?
