My question is what size gas tanks do the extended cab trucks have (16 gal or 20 gal)? Little history if you might not know, I am rebuilding an 1986 extended cab that came with body and interior only. I have a chance to buy some nice tanks but they are from a short bed truck and my understanding is those are 16 gallon. Are those the size used in the extended cab C10 trucks?

Since the extended cabs were originally longbed trucks and longbeds had either one in them I would say if the price is right snatch them up. I have twin 20's in mine but if one ever goes out it will be replaced with a 16

from what i understand short beds did only get 16

Yea the price is a good one and plan on buying them. My donor truck is long wheelbase and found out the tanks are rusty. I measured them yesterday and they are the 16 gallon ones, so all should be good.
Thanks for the input, just did not want to buy something that will not work.
