I was wondering what this box is. It is located on the kick panel near the fuse box. It is not working because half of the wires were cut when I bought the truck.

Could be a old alarm

Could be a old alarm
sure looks that way to me

It's either an alarm box or a control box for accesories (often lights) When I worked at Autozone we had two similar looking to that.....one type had a remote control and the one that looked closely to that had a flat wire to a flat 4-button touch pad. A buddy that worked with me used one to run his 4 HELLA 8" lights on his Subaru.

Looks like an alarm system to me too.

alarm. some door poppers will use them for a signal for the relay to trigger the popper via key less entry remote. or they could of made electric doors work with a key less entry
