There is no really good way to save them when it starts coming off.
I ended up just removing it off mine. If you want you can prep them and re clear...

How did you remove it? And how hard was it to do

I use acid and then pressure wash. Whatever is left on there needs to either be chemically stripped, and blasted or sanded off. Once you get all of the clear off, just hit them with acid and they will look nice n bright. Forget the clear altogether

I agree with Vile, when I wash my truck I give the wheels a quick sprits on the wheels and then soon as I'm done spraying the last wheel grab the hose and go back around and hose them off. Don't let it sit on there for more than a minute or so. My wheels stay clean for a long time. Even after another wash or just hosing off the dirt and dust.

So after I strip the clear I should not re clear them?

Only if you want too. It's not necessary, your wheels look aluminum so it's not like they are gonna rust tomorrow. I don't have clear on my wheels. Y lu could even just take them to a local paint shop and pay to have them stripped.

Ok thanks for the info

I used 3M gasket remover on my wheels to get the clear off...
