the spider gears in my 79 k-10 are looking pretty bad and are loose. the ring and pinion still look real good so I was thinking on taking the spiders out and puting in a locker. got ant sugestions? Im selling the truck and low on cash so I need something cheap and easy to install.

Put a Powertrax Lock-rite in it.  Extremely simple to install.

I get most of my axle parts from www.randysringandpinion.com.  They are going to run about $300 or so.

Yeah, I agree, a lockright/power trax is the way to go for cost and simplicity. No need to pull carrier out and reshim gears.
