It leaks where the pushrod enters it. I haven't been able to locate a new or rebuilt one. Napa showed one, but it must've just recently gone the way of the Dodo.
Piratejack.net has a couple of rebuild kits that I'd have to match up the parts with their site's picture. That's a possibility, but I can't take the truck out of service (business vehicle) just to look at parts and maybe wait for them to show up.
I am adding Lucas sealer as it leaks. Even if it works, not a good fix.
I'd remove and eliminate it if I knew what master cylinder to replace it with and how to plug up the hoses.
Anyone ever mess with this stuff?

Good find, Vile!
Unfortunately, Summit is displaying the wrong image for this part. ???
The correct image for 52-7249 can be found on the Cardone (http://www.cardone.com/Products/Product-Detail?productId=52-7249) website.

Yeah, I was going to say, that's the wrong image. I ordered one from Summit. I googled "Cardone 52-7249" and found several sources. Some of them show it as unavailable or out of stock. I'm having a hard time believing that it's really available since it's so hard to find. I will find out!
Thank you for the help. I will update.

Summit's order confirmation email is showing it as backordered.

Is another hydro boost interchangeable ?
They used em in 82 pickups with the diesel and we just sold a 96 P chassis that had a hydro boost
And in Astro vans
Looked the same to me

Personally I would trash the hydroboost system altogether but here try this:

It's been a while but just to update:
Summit kept changing the date for shipment. I gave up and cancelled. I'm pretty sure it's not available, anywhere.
I have added Lucas PS Sealer and it has all but stopped the leak. But that can only be temporary.
I would eliminate the thing, I don't mind manual brakes. But, I have no idea what lines to disconnect. Plus, I imagine the pedal ratio would be all wrong.
I wouldn't mind manual steering, either. (To get rid of everything hydroboost related.) I'd have to change out the steering box, but that's a whole other ball game...
I did find this:
http://www.piratejack.net/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.browse&category_id=26&Itemid=6&vmcchk=1&Itemid=6
Maybe I could pull it apart and match up parts.

Oreillys Houston warehouse shows it #52-7249
-
Thanks 78bigten, it says unavailable, like everywhere I have checked.
-
I'm linked in to first call(oreillys) here in SA and it shows me the store, the hub and the Houston warehouse stock and some others.Sorry I checked again and its not Houston, shows LDC,Seagoville Tx.If you like I can call and check for sure thru my end
-
I appreciate that very much, 78BIG-TEN. I think I'll just leave well enough alone for now. The Lucas sealer has all but stopped the leak, so I'll see how it goes. Once again, thank you very much.

In regards to going to manual brakes I would make certain that a similar truck P10 say would have come that way. Sometimes the geometry is wrong to allow safe manual brake situation. I know my C10 with manual brakes work great but I used to drive a small GM car with manual brakes that yes you could stop it fine but it took a lot of pressure to apply the brakes. Your truck being a 1 ton may take 2 men and a boy to stop it...
