Title: speedometer wont work

Yea my speedometer will not work any idea what could be wrong befor i tare into it every thing seems hooked up

Does the needle not move at all, or does it go everywhere?

Lots of us have speedo problems- go to the posts in the link

My guess is that your cable is broken.

yea ur right ....broke inside the firewall now if u can tell me that happiend id be happy so i dont run into it again....

I've never had one break, I guess they just get old and wore out.

They dry out from no lubrication. When the gear in the tranny modulator tries to spin the dry cable, all the torque is going to break somethin- usually the gear on the end of the cable. In your case tho, the cable must've fatigued and snapped.

Yea .....I think im gonna do a upgrade on it anyways...I think that would pay of in the long run ...but i dont wanna change the look ......Anyides????
