Title: 1157 led stop lights
Post by: Lit549 on November 01, 2014, 11:54:46 pm
Bought some led lights that plug into stock socket and now my dashlights (gauges) all flash with turn signal, took out led bulbs and everything's fine..Will a load equalizer solve this,I thought those were only for blinkers blinking too fast after led install? Or do I just need a different flasher? 85 chevy c10,bulbs I'm trying to use are "pilot" brand 1157 led bulbs..

The flasher has no bearing on this problem.  The bulbs are shorting the sockets' double-pin contacts or there's a floating ground.  Or, the bulbs could be mispackaged.  Make sure the 1157 LED bulbs each have two contacts, that they are properly indexed into the sockets, and that the sockets are properly grounded.
