Just thought I would share todays project. I aquired a new to me seat from an 83 Suburban, for my 87 Silverado. Replacing the original bench. It fit right in after swapping tracks. Feels pretty good so far , although I will need to drive it more to see how I like it. Will be keeping the bench "just in case":) Hope to post pics, If I can get them the right size.

wow nice setup!
were the tracks a direct swap?

Thanks, & yes they swapped nicely.

That's a pretty nice seat! Couple questions tho, 1 does the middle fold up? 2 are they power seats? 3 I've never seen those before, are they from a silverado suburban or special order option?

Yes the middle folds up, no power, not sure what model Burb they came from. Found them on local craigslist. The guy was parting it out. $25 out the door w/seatbelts! ;D

Ok cool. Hot digidy dog that's a deal for u! I am thinking about putting buckets in my truck but I want something with a fold up center cuz my girlfriend likes to sit in the middle. However, I want full power, all directions, with tilt and lumbar and I want it to be leather or some kinda of quality material that is ok to use with heated seats.

:o Wow that sounds great, I'd like to have all those features also in my 87, But for now I'll just have to enjoy all those features when I take my Beutiful wifes Tahoe LTZ to get gas!! ;D :P ;)

Yea still haven't found a set yet I want. Was considering a custom seat set from an aftermarket company, seats from a Chevy Colorado with heaters they were only in the most expensive model, seats from a late 90s tahoe or burb with heaters and seats from an 07-13 tahoe burb silverado or denali with heat and possible ac. I'd would go with individual buckets and a center console dash to rear window if I could but the pretty blonde in my life has forbidden me from doin anything without a middle for her.
Also, where do you think "LTZ C20" came from. My C20 will when done be a fully optioned, luxury truck inside you can drive hundreds of miles in comfort but still be a tough 3/4 Camper Special with 400 + ft lbs torque and overdrive trans. ;) muscle under the hood and comfort between the doors. :D

Thanks "75"

That looks really sharp! I didn't realize I needed a different seat until now!

How much higher do you sit in the seats/closer to wheel?

Too close!! But not to high. Just a little update... 2 weeks after the install I took it out & put back the original bench. Lets say..back to the drawing board. I couldn't take it being so close to the wheel. Now I have to get rid of a seat. Maybe craigslist;)

OK, blows that idea...thanks for the update!
