Title: Let's see your lowered C10
Post by: rwilliamz on December 16, 2014, 05:02:34 am
I want to lower my 83 Shorty stepside but im not sure which way I want to go.
I don't want to notch the frame or do any thing crazy.

im running 15" rallies now but am open to running something bigger to eliminate control arm issues.
I was thinking a 3/5 drop spindle/flip, but would like to see some other trucks before I buy anything.

Can you guys with lowered stepsides post some pictures and the amount you have dropped, and any issues you had or any tips

thanks guys!!

I did mine on  a 87 R10 long bed, and just like you did not want to cut anything. All the info you need is here on another post that I made with pics. I still need to get shorter coil springs tho.

If you don't plan on c notching I would do 2.5/4?  I recommend a notch for flip kits.

Stacey David's show Gearz did a shackle and spindle drop, 3 front, 4 rear on the truck they call the knuckle buster. It's not a step side, but it should give you a rolling idea vs a picture.
