81 c10 stepside 2wd I want to use the wildwood brakes
-
Wilwood kits now have the rear hats on them with integrated drums. They are a good setup.
I am using Wilwood dual calipers and AWD Safari disc on my as it is a driver. That way if I need a replacement it is just a matter of going to the auto parts store and buying a set.
If you get the Caddy calipers you can get emergency brakes..

What about the front?
-
Factory HD brakes that match the size in rear and same calipers as on the back.
-
I've done a little looking into front brake upgrades. From what I've found, the biggest improvement comes from the bigger rotor kits. That means you need to go to 17" wheels and aftermarket spindles.
Wilwood makes an upgraded bolt on caliper but it's not a huge improvement over stock. Rear disks are a nice touch but pick ups have so much front weight bias that, again, it's not a huge improvement.

What about the ccp drop spindles wildwood has a kit with 14 inch rotors. I wanted to drop the front 3 inches and the back 4

Wildwood has a nice kit the new ones have a built in drum in the hat for parking brakes. You do need larger wheels though.
