Title: Got a a rattle
Post by: jumpkickyergunt on December 19, 2014, 05:04:00 pm
Sounds like it's coming from behind the engine. It's not there when under acceleration, but shows up at low rpm or idle. I can hear it in drive, neutral, and park. Sometimes it's there, sometimes not. Also, only when the engine is warmed up like if I come off the highway I can hear it when I slow down on the off ramp. 79 k10, 350. I can probably get a video with sound posted up if necessary.

Mine was doing that a little bit to and it turned out to be loose exhaust hangers and the exhaust was just vibrating around making a awful noise

it could be the little flapper inside the passenger exhaust for the heat riser
