I have an 85 Scottsdale that has had an increase of coolant temp and was wondering what the best all weather solution would be to keep the water temp more consistant. i installed a trans cooler on the radiator and now the normal temp went from about 190 to 210 which doesn't bother me in these Wisconsin winters. i am worried bout it running too hot once spring and summer come around what can i do to bring the operating temp back to bout 190

Proper ratio of water to antifreeze; High-quality thermostat; High-quality water pump; radiator in good condition; fan shroud correct for engine and properly in place; belts tight; correct pressure radiator cap.
Also, whatever fan you have, be it mechanical, thermostatically controlled clutch, or electric, make sure it's in good condition and operating properly.
How does the radiator look? Is it full of bugs on the outside, or rust on the inside?
