Title: My 81 stepside short wheelbase

Hello there,my name is Donnie. I wanted to start a build page ,I've already started my build so I'm going to play catchup. I bought the truck from a guy in Kenner,la about 25 min south of me,I'm in slidell la. $650.00 it had a rod knock in the 305 and the trans was just about shot. I'll try and post pics I'm not very computer savy

Small block 400 bored to a 408  jegs aluminum 67 cc heads block is zero decked with flat top piston 292/292 cam head studs afr composite intake with dual plane plenum summit racing ignition and distributor. It is a jegs harness and I think it was but I bought it like 5 years ago and started an install in a dodge so it was mixed up lol

Nice sheet metal work. That's a lot of work but it looks good. Sounds like your engine is very strong too. Coming along nicely.

I have a question I don't know what sub model my truck is. Custom 10 Scottsdale Cheyenne or Silverado  can anyone help

Going by the picture in your first post it is a Custom Deluxe. That would be the base trim level. Scottsdale would be next, followed by Cheyenne and lastly the top of the line Silverado. I have a 1980 Custom Deluxe but it does have A/C , tilt and tach but no radio. I should put one in but really not in it that much. It is a base model truck but does have some nice options. ;) Keep up the good work on yours.

It also has tilt and regular windshield wiper switch. I wasn't really fond of the four headlights but they grew on me
