Okay, so the tires I've got on my truck were the same tires that were put on the truck in 1987. I didn't have enough traction to move forward on pavement in 4WD in 1" of snow.
I looked online, and according to any specs I found, my truck should have the 6 studs at 5.5, but it actually has 8 studs at 6.5.
Aren't these 1 ton axles?
Was this specific to the "Camper Special" or has someone swapped the axles out on this truck?
Can anyone help me make sense of what I have here?

All the 73-87(91) 3/4ton and 1ton came with 8 lug wheels, there were a variety of axles used. 1/2ton (K10 K1500) trucks came with 6 lug. What is your truck? Year, model?

the 20 behind your door ¾ ton, 30 means 1 ton. (but this doesnt mean someone didnt swap axles)
½ use 15" rims with 5 lugs for 4x2 or 6 lugs for 4x4.
while ¾ & 1 ton use 16" rims with 8 lugs for both 4x2 and 4x4. now you can use 15" rims instead of the 16 but they wont fit without grinding down the caliper

The truck came with 16.5 rims so I'm swapping them out for 17's, and I'm putting winters on for now that will transfer over to my FJ Cruiser after I lift and put 35's on this.
I'm kinda sad that the rims won't swap over, as they would have if it was a 6 bolt, but I'm happier for the heavier axles.

That's a full-float axle, being a single-rear-wheel, it should be a GM Corporate 14-bolt, they were put on a few 3/4tons but mostly used for 1ton. (there are other differences including springs and frame) 10.5" ring gear, very strong axles

Your online search was probably a K series 3/4T. If you look under V20 you'll find the correct info

The 3/4 ton front axles were the same as 1/2 ton
Just used 8 lugs instead of 6 ?
