I wanted to share my recent mod of adding second set of 4x6 light with led lights.

Interesting.  Do you have any additional details?  Did you add the lights to an '81-'82 front end?

I was thinking about doing something like this to my 85k10. I was thinking of getting some lights from the salvage yard, then use mask off the back side with some foil tape. Then cut off the old bulb and terminals. This would leave a hole. Then clean off the surface.  I would then check and see if if the new replacement slide and lock Bulb fits.  Once I got the slots. Cut right I would then fiber glass the back side.  Once it's hardened I would cut out the hole one more time.  The fiberglass would insure some redgidity.  After doing all this I would install the new lights on my truck and adjust them.  I haven't ever been a fan of how bright my low beams are on my dual headlight 85.

Light are on 81 C10 and my truck also has radiator support for dual headlights with front trim for single headlight.  What I did is created grove on the inside of the headlight trim for the 4x6 headlight then used flat black piece of plastic to close space surrounding the lights.  I painted black trim around new headlight with black Plasti Dip.   LED lights are connected to the parking lights and halogen bulb is connected to headlights.  So now I have dual headlights and dual parking lights upfront.
