Title: Auction
Post by: Tazman on January 15, 2015, 05:22:49 pm
Ido not know if anyone is following the Barrett Jackson auction but it is showing how much these trucks are worth. A 77 with 9k miles on it went for 37 k and today a super nice 85 sold for just under 14 k.
Keep em running

That's crazy. But we do it for the satisfaction not the money.  Nice to know if in a bind you can cash out.

I wouldn't use that as a judgement on pricing.

Remember that Barrett Jackson is very keen how being clean and in good condition or a rare barn find vehicle for the most part. It's expensive and so are the people that buy from Barrett. They are usually collectors and/or have a fair chunk of change on hand for expensive toys.

A regular truck or one in decent shape or nice restored may no sell for that much. A basic piece of crap might be 500 bucks and a nice clean survivor be 8,000. It's the demand, conditions and value of similars that create the price on this kinda stuff.
