I know this an old thread...but...I have a'78 gmc Sierra, I have replaced the wiper motor, then put in a new delay switch and module. It had a two speed wipers before, but now the wiper delay feature only works once then they stays on continuously. Switch, module and motor are new...any ideas?

Not enough info. You need to give details, what year components did you use, is this a factory setup? Check your connections and circuit grounds. Where did you get your parts from?

I think the motor has to be an intermittent motor
Not the regular motor?
Also gotta have the intermittent wiring harness from the switch to the motor

Roundhouse, the regular motor is fine. My buddy just did this to his truck last week. Switch and module are all you need. His work like brand new.

Nice to know
I thought I had read somewhere that you had to have compatable motor
Or maybe some of the early ones 73-75 maybe ? Didn't work with the intermittent because they didn't have enough wires or something

Everything is new, motor from local auto parts store, switch and module from online vendors, ordered stuff for a '78 GMC. Wiring looks good, no frankenstien, bought the truck last year from the original owner, 98,000 original miles.
