Title: Newbie here with a few questions
Post by: traumajunkie on January 20, 2015, 09:00:33 am
Hey Guys,

I just picked up my first "PROJECT".  It is a 1984 C10 LB, got it for 600 bucks with 134k original miles, from what I have read it has the normal rusted out cab corners and a hole in each wheel well. I am mechanically ok but not with body work. Can i just buy a new wheel well that bolts up or does it have to be welded or whats the best way to fix this, the shop wants about 800 to weld the 2 corners and fill the holes. Also can I replace the truck bed with a short bed (i dont know if the chassis is any different). Thank you all

You can glue those pieces in with body panel glue if you can't weld.
To swap to a short bed you have to shorten the frame.
