I am putting an 89 V2500 back together that was wrecked on the front end. Only sheet metal damage no frame damage. I found a complete front clip from an 85 with dual head lights. What do I need to do to the head lights wired up to work correctly? The front clip has the original wiring that was cut just before the fuse block. I know that the single light has both bright and dim in one light. Can I just separate the wiring from the single headlight connection and rewire it into the to different lights for bright and dim?

Yes, just tap into the high beam positive and the negative from the existing connectors down to the new additional high beam lights.

OK, thanks. I thought it may work like that. My luck dont usually go that simple though.

89 Should have been the newer front style like all the 88-98 trucks, which would have come with side by side dual lights.
On all the dual style truck, low beam was 2 lights on, and high beams were 4 lights on because the lows are dual filament lamps.
