Hello, I acquired an '83 K10 Scottsdale a couple of years ago. She was in pretty rough shape when I got her, but I have been slowly nursing her back to health. The great thing was that there wasn't a lot of rust damage, just the normal spots (cab corners)... The bad news was pretty much all of the valves were leaking. I pulled the motor a couple of months ago, went through the entire thing top to bottom and she's running good again. Truck came with 3/4 ton axles and suspension and 35" BF mud terrains. They were pretty slick so I replaced them with some 37x15.50 Toyo M/T. I've never had a 'tinker truck' before so I'm enjoying every minute of this one. I've learned a lot from the posts in this community and I still have a lot to learn. The truck isn't anywhere near where I want it to be, but slowly she'll get there. I've had a Chevy truck since I could drive... It's a family thing 😁.
Yes that's a rattle can paint job... Not particularly proud of it haha, but not ashamed either!! It actually turned out a lot better than expected.
