Title: How do I get Fenders off??
Post by: Darren C20 on July 31, 2002, 12:07:00 pm
I'm doing some body work on my 1976 C-20 and wondering how to get the front fenders off.  I removed all the bolts I could see along the seam just up underneath of it, but it still feels quite solid and I do'nt want to just pry it off.  What am I missing? This is the first time I've one anything like this so please bare with me.  Thanks for any help.

Title: Fenders inner or outer,,,,,,,,,
Post by: R2R on July 31, 2002, 04:18:00 pm
Darren,,,,,,are you take'n the inner or the outer fender well off ????? I'm not to sure about the inner but the outer one there is a 9/16 or so screw that you have to open the door up and reach through to get it with a socket & extention,,,I think. Under the hood were the wind sheild wipper arms are I think there is one there too. By the window seal.
The inner one you might have to take a screw out from around the front bottom somwhere. Where the front clip bolts to the frame. Did you take off the head light trim, chrome piece ??? There might be one in there too. Maybe under the battery box. Yeah,,,,, there kind of sneaky about hidding them.
Let me know how it comes out,,no joke intended.

Thanks for your info but with some more in depth looking around (and some advice from my dad) I figured it out.  You're right they are sneaky with hiding them.

Title: Good deal
