Recently my 86 c10 has started having problems making right turns, it's making a popping noise and won't make a tight right turn!!
What could be the problem ??
-
cracked frame at the steering box?
-
I don't think so, it's inly when I turn right, and it came on all of the sudden!
There's been no damage to the truck
-
I was thinking it could possibly be my steering pump or my ball joints, but I'm looking for a couple second opinions

If your ball joints are ancient, I would most certainly start there and the tie rods. I had this happen on my Mustang and they were the culprit.
It never hurts to install new ones anyway, albeit, pain in the butt.

Right turn would be effected if the frame was cracked more and left turns should be normal until it completely goes
-
I wouldn't drive it anymore till you figure it out though

i had the same problem in my 79 K10. it was really hard to steer to the right and it would pop loudly and kinda "break free" mid turn. it was the ball joints. and it happend on a 12 mile drive. left without a problem, made a few turns, and by the time i got home it wasnt safe to drive again till it was fixed
