They don't mix.
Boring out the flange-to-hub holes big enough to tap for a helicoil breaks through into the center of the hub.
If it was absolutely necessary, I suppose you could bore the top portion of the hole, enough for one length of helicoil, leaving the bottom of the bolt hole untouched, but you wouldn't have the full strength of the threads.
This is a lesson I learned too late. The hub is operational, but it will potentially leak lubricant through the bolt holes.
I don't like it so I'm looking for another 14 bolt rear-end. *sigh*

all you need is the hub
I'd try using a tube of the gasket from the Toyota dealer
It's the best in the world
Clean it up with brake cleaner
Use a lot of the gasket Maker
See if it leaks

we always use "the right stuff" on all rear end parts

Well, despite what the local wrecker told me, I went to check out their inventory and found the hubs I needed in an 88 3/4 ton van. I pulled them in a few minutes, and they were in great condition, as were the bearings and seals. I could have taken the whole rear-end for $98 bucks, but I didn't have the time. They charged me $60 bucks for the pair of hubs and I'm a happy camper.
I found the same rear end in another truck there, so if things look bad when I get into the pumpkin I might go back and grab it.
