Hey guys, I had a slight miss hap with my 84 and I need to replace my grill surround moldings. Anyone purchased any good repros and where did you get them? It's unfortunate by my nice oem stainless ones need to be replaced as they are now pretty banged up but luckily they were the only thing harmed.

I would look for a good used set of moldings (they clean up well).
I tried to purchase a new set from GM about 12 years ago. 3 pieces came in the original finish like I expected, but the passenger side fender piece had more of a chrome finish to it (they all came in the original GM packaging). The dealer ordered the piece 2 more times and they were both the same, noticeably brighter then the other 3 pieces.
I ended up using a good set of used moldings. I cleaned them up and they looked like new.

I think I missed what company that was....I'm not having a lot of luck coming across any used ones. I was mainly looking to replace the passenger side and upper moldings. The truck is my dd so they don't need to be show quality but I know some of the aftermarket ones are poor quality and fit.

There should be someone parting out a 81-87 on Craigslist in you area.
I've probably thrown out more than I should have over the years.

Well I broke down and bought some aftermarket moldings. For some odd reason I got assorted brands from my bodyshop supply store thinking I was getting all Goodmark moldings..witch is now owned by keystone. My side (fender) moldings looked really nice and fit decent. The upper and lower fit ok and were shiny but pretty wavy. Good enough for a daily driver but They don't compare to oem. I think the corvex ones seemed to be the best quality for aftermarket.

FYI, I am a distributor for LKQ/Keystone and Goodmark, so I can get anything for anything they sell.
Keep in mind that many Goodmark part numbers are different from Keystone.
