Title: 1986 C10 Fuel Gauge
Post by: taylorpdavis on March 16, 2015, 06:07:53 pm
Hey y'all!  I just want to see if anyone out there has had any experience with your fuel gauges reading 1/4 when it is actually full?  It seems to be accurate if you look at 1/4 being full and empty being empty.  I thought about ordering a new one from   or somewhere but it won't match the others in the cluster.  Any ideas?
Thanks!

There have been many discussions on this topic. Check the service manual for your year in the tech section of the forum. Find the locations of the grounds for the fuel system and check them all. The grounds should be present, wires in good condition, contacts and attachment points clean and tight.

Try replacing the fuel sending units one located in each tank.
