Title: 1975 C10 350 Exhaust

1975 C10 350 AT PS
This car is completely stock.
I am contemplating getting dual exhaust on the truck and wondering if i should put headers on while I am at it.
Could I go in stages and get a dual exhaust that fits on the stock cast iron headers and then can later be easily modified if i want new headers?

I will be using it as my daily driver and hoping to get some improvement on the gas mileage.

Generally speaking you won't be able to do that unless you really plan ahead...
