Look forward to seeing how your new project progresses.

Im stumped on engine swap. I dont want to do the usual 350 swap or big block swap. Thinking ls1 or something along those lines.
-
well now days the ls1 swap is the usual due to ease, price and also efi.

welcome from maryland

Ls1 and T56 swap is my ultimate goal. I guess for now a stock 350 would be fun. The 4.3 thats in her isnt to bad. Just not a fan of it.

Welcome from NW Indiana. Keep in mind a V-8 swap requires different engine/frame mounts. Pictured is what you have, you will need to completely swap to the V-8 version.

Thanks for the heads up!!!

anytime. There is a member here doing the exact opposite and I sold him these. To some folks it is common knowledge but to others it is a complete surprise when the engine is being lowered down and uh oh, what do I do now...

Well fellas my plans are slowly comming together. I aquired a LS1 and a 4l80 trans for trade. I traded a clutch for a GTO and slave cylinder for both engine and trans.

I dont want to use a auto trans but i figured since it comes with the LS why not. Atleast until i can save enough for a t56.
-
i would smack someone if they told me that was a 4l80e. its a 4l60e, the plug on the passengers side is a dead giveaway. a 4l80e is on the drivers side and its on the side of the transmission not on the bottom

The 4L60E computer harness plug is on the passenger-side of the transmission and the 4L80E plug is on the driver-side of the transmission.
