Hmmm... do you think this could have anything to do with the wheel bearing going out AGAIN in just 5 months? How does a hub get warped? What's the best solution - just buy two new axle rods and be done with it?

You have a bent axle.
Replace the axle shaft. Should be good to go.

What causes a bad axle other than a wreck?
I'm desperate and don't have time to fool with the junkyard. I'm going to order a new rod tomorrow.

Overloading.
But most likely a wreck.

New "Dorman" brand axle shaft came complete with new studs, bearing, and seal. Take a look at where the old one was warped bad enough to cut a groove in it the depth of a match stick.

Holy crap that thing is DONE! Between the metal flattened and the heat scorned metal... That thing was rubbing for some time lol.

Yeah I know.. the first time I changed the bearing it was not that bad.. I was in a hurry and didn't notice the flange was warped. The 2nd time, I guess the bearing was newer and harder than the axle so the axle had to give. Anyway, been driving it like this for quite some time. New tires, axle rod, bearings all the way around, and all new shocks and this thing drives/sounds better than I would have ever imagined..
