Im sure y'all have seen this before but i was wondering if getting rid of the stock intake on the 350 tbi and replacing it with a less restrictive intake and doing the tbi mod where you cut away some metal around the injectors would add hp? Would it be worth it? I already have dual pipes so i dont think i would have to change the exhaust.

do you want hp or tq?

have you read this? (http://forum.73-87chevytrucks.com/smforum/index.php?topic=29922.0)
i think just cleaning up the tbi will help but the amount of help doesnt compare to the amount of work you have to do. the salad bowl spacer imo is a much better easier fix. to get these old truck up and going you want tq. your stock intake is good for making tq, if you get a better flowing intake you gain hp but lose the some tq.
i would read the "tbi chips" in the link i posted. he will tell you everything you need to know
