I have a '78 Big Ten and am in need of the u-joint that connects the rear axle to the driveshaft. I've removed the old one that had the nylon rings holding it in but have no ideas on the replacement for it. Anyone with Advanved, Oreillys or Autozone part numbers will be my new best friend... seriously :)
This is the last thing keeping me from making her my daily driver. Thanks in advance!

Take your old u-joint into the parts store and they'll match it up for you.
The new u-joint will come with internal snap rings.

Universal joint conversion part numbers (http://forum.73-87chevytrucks.com/smforum/index.php?topic=30344.0)
made this a little while ago. idk what u joint the big ten uses but it tells you their size so if you can use a dial caliper you can figure it out. even if you dont have one the parts store should have one. i know at my autozone we did
i made this chart for those that want to put ¾ or 1 ton axles under their ½ ton so it should be the same ideal. let us know what you find and we can update the numbers for a big ten

Autozone was able to pull up the correct part I needed. They've been the only one that could figure it out so far. Part # is 2-3011 VC (Valucraft)
