Title: add tachometer, 77 c20 406sbc

looking for a tach that i can bolt onto my dash. dont care what it looks like, just need a tach so i dont blow my engine. anyone know of a tach that will work and how to hook it up and mount it to work properly?

any aftermarket tachometer will do just find.

red goes to a keyed hot on the fuse panel, black is ground, white goes to the dash light dimmer on the fuse panel, and green hooks up to the distributor on the plug labeled "tach"

For me the hardest part is where to mount it.

i would go with anything from Autometer.
