I have a 305 motor with the dipstick tube going into the bottom of the right side head.. It was sandwich between the head and manifold.. I got rid of the manifold's to put headers on, and notice that the dipstick tube has a hole wore into the side from being sandwich between the head and manifold.. How can i get the tube out to replace it without breaking it off at the bottom or dropping metal into the oil pan?

Dipstick tubes are 2 parts .. lower and upper.
The lower and upper are both interference fits. You can only get the lower one out by dropping the pan and knocking it out the top.
To replace the lower one you just tap it into the hole again so its just below the surface then use a box end wrench (7/16) to tap the upper one back in against the bottom then seat them both at the same time.
