Title: parking brake firewall repair

1984 GMC K1500 SB 4x4. My parking brake broke through my firewall today. Parking brake was not engaging and saw that the bolt on the side wall was off and that on the firewall the bottom bolt broke through and the top bolt was almost through the firewall. I plan on repairing the firewall. Any tips before i fully disengage the parking brake component inside the cab?

Just unbolt it.  removing that cable is a PAIN.
