I want to install an applied bedliner like Herculiner or Gator Liner to my 1982 Silverado and wondered if anyone has used this or similar product.
Who has the best product? And whick product is more like Liner-X

the Herculiner really isnt that bad......My Bro in law used it for his 2000 dodge and holds up well...........

I have used the Herculiner it works pretty good for the money. They sugest 5 quarts for a full size truck. I would double that. I did a long bed ranger and a gallon was just barley enough. I bought a kit which comes with a gallon. Plus bought two quarts for a 8' full size chevy and it could have used another coat.

just make sure you clean it up well and scuff the entire inside with scotch brite pads before applying. A lot of prepping is the key to make it work.

I sanderd the ones I did with 220 grit paper on my DA. Then used the scuff pads weher the sander coudln't get into.

that works too..........i plan on using my DA as well but not everyone has one thats why i said Scotch Brite.

An electric palm sander works good too.
