Title: Fuel pump selection

I need help selecting a fuel pump. I know about the GPH equation of (HP x 0.5)/6. I know my Holley needs 5-7 PSI. I found the Edelbrock Performer RPM mechanical fuel pump with 6 max PSI and 110 GPH. According to the GPH equation above for my setup, (330 x 0.5)/6 would only yield 27.5 gph. Huge difference between 27.5 and 110 GPH. Can someone school me on this? Will this flood the carb? My set-up will be return-less. Thanks.

nvm, found a nice carter fuel pump 40 gph and 5.5-6.5 PSI part #CRT-M4685.

Just because the Edelbrock is rated at 110 gph doesn't mean it will flood the carb. The carb will stop the fuel flow when the bowl is full and only allow fuel flow when needed. With that said, you will be fine with the Carter pump.

Stay with a carter or delco, Stay away from over the counter replacements (off brands put out to much pressure.
Edl 110 would work fine but no need to spend that kind off money.
I have the Edl 110 pump on my 74 350. Puts out 5 - 6 psi but is overkill.
