Title: Np208 32 spline???
Post by: jhiggin on May 07, 2015, 08:49:10 pm
So there's a guy with 2 np208's for sale and I was wondering if anybody would know if either one would be 32 spline or 28 spline. One of them is in an 82 sub with a turbo 400. And the other in an 86 sub with turbo 400. Any help would be appreciated

If both trucks have the turbo 400 they should be 32 spline. However my 87 has a turbo 400 and the smaller spline 28 or 27 because rpo codes say it was originally equipped with the 700r4, I'd like to here more on this.

Should be 32
Have the seller count em
Or send you a pic of the Trans
It's easy to tell a 350 from a 400 but most people will claim its a 32 spline since they are worth more

like round said a th400 is going to have 32 splines no matter what,
th400 and 4l80e are a 32 spline

700r4, 4l60 and th350 are 27 splines

sm465 from 68-78 is 10 splines (35 for 2wd)
79+ is 32 splines (35 for 2wd).
