Title: 1978 k20 no power to starter

I was putting a new starter on my truck and I accidentally pinched the ignition wire in between the starter and block and I,didn't know at the time and tried to start the truck and some wires on firewall started smoking. I put some New wires in but starter won't get no power I put test light on ignition wire and no power. At all and fuse isn't blowed cam anyone help

Probably popped a couple of the fusible links. Replace those and should be good.

Either up neither the junction block or at the starter. They are fat little connectors located right near the connection points.

disconnect the negative battery cable when you do this and ensure nothing is improperly routed before you reconnect. Check at the starter solenoid and junction block on the firewall.

Sorry it's been awhile but when i pinched the wire between the starter and the block when I tried to start it the juction block started smoking I replace the block and I had no fuseable links they had been cut off before do you have any idea what else could be wrong with it I had to wire up a push button start on it for now but would like to have key switch working again
