I just picked up this old Air Force k30 last weekend. I flew to Omaha, hopped in and drove it back to Phoenix AZ. The truck has 30k original miles, with a 350. It is gutless but ran 75mph all the way home. I plan to swap a 2nd gen 12 valve with an nv4500 in sometime soon.

Nice truck.
Irish-alley also has an old Air Force crew cab K30 he is installing a Cummins 6BT in.
-
Thanks Fitz, the 6bt will happen eventually. I plan to just drive it as is for a little while. I also have a 1992 w250 cummins that needs some attention to the driveline. So I will be cruising this until I fix the other one. Hopefully I can get it done soon the 11mpg will start to hurt after awhile haha

Looks like it has A/C.
Awesome rig.
If I had that truck I would swap in the 4 headlight grille, and radiator support I have out of an '85 then I'd drive the wheels off of it.

Nice ride, Years ago I pick up a 1969 Dodge Power Wagon crew cab short bed from the Air Force with 48000 miles, It was a great truck also!
-
Very nice! I've always liked those U.S. Air Force rigs.

Welcome from California.

Thanks boys good to be here, it's actually a non AC truck. The guy I bought it from was a GM tech for a number of years. He added all of the in and under dash AC parts, all GM factory parts. He put everything under the hood on the firewall and wiring. It just needs a compressor and lines and should blow cold. He is a very meticulous person and looks factory....

That's pretty nice.

Nice score!
