I've got a 73 cheyenne super that's about ready for paint. It's the deluxe 2 tone with the white on top of the cab and down the side. I want to keep the 2 tone but I'm thinking about going with an "f-bomb" theme and doing nato green and the side stripe and cab top black. Friends and family are split 50/50 on the idea and I'm trying to get a few more opinions.

This maybe not what you are looking for but my 2 cents.
A Cheyenne Super was the top of the line model, so when I here Cheyenne Super I think options and trim, clean lines. So what if you stuck with your nato/black theme but added metallic. I know it sounds kinda weird but if you could some how see it before you had it done you might like it.
I never even thought about painting my truck brown, then I saw a newer GM brown that was metallic and I LOVED it. So much so, it's the color I want to get mine done in. Some times a little shine makes it go from "blah" to "oh that's clean" without being "LOOK AT ME! LOOK AT ME!". Play around, see what you can find.

Black roofs make inside very hot unless seriously well insulated....ask me how I know lol

HOK has a program you can buy that gives you the ability to do almost anything color & stripe wise. It naturally uses their line of colors but well worth the money to see a virtual truck in different settings & lighting before a single test panel is sprayed. I printed off my final color choice handed it to the body shop & he said why would you copy another truck? It's that realistic.

A black roof in a vehicle with no AC is gonna be an oven
I saw a late model F-150 with the most beautiful hunter green in the world
Might want to look into that
I'd go with white and some really dark color or a really bright one
Toyota Solar yellow , camaro pace car Orange , dark blue , dark green, etc

Best 2-tone paint on a truck is this, in my opinion:

Black and silver always works great in my opinion.

Aside from the color scheme on the truck in the link above, you all should read the text underneath the picture. Read the whole thing, it's pretty funny actually. The advertising department in 1982 was having a good time with their descriptions.
