Title: new to me c30
Post by: crossnick1988 on July 15, 2015, 04:40:30 pm
i just picked up a new to me 1980 c30 i have big plans but they are all down the road a little.I am just trying to get my truck in good working condition first. On my drive home from picking it up i noticed that on braking the truck pulls heavily to the left expecting the brakes thats the first place i went both sides look like brand new calipers so i tried bleeding and noticed that the left bleeds great the right just about no fluid comes out. i suspect the proportioning or combination valve has blocked flow to the left after sometime of messing with it bleeding the left hard to reset the valve i am now getting fluid from the right but not in the force/velocity as i am on the left and the truck is still pulling. should i replace the combo valve with one from jegs etc or should i try to take it apart and see whats inside? and lastly i noticed that the powersteering belt was squeaking so under some inspection found that it looks like the crank pulley is wobbling the truck runs amazing and seems to be spot on is it possible that the pulley is messed up or more likely the crank? thanks

i'm betting pulley----if the engine was dropped/bumped by accident the pulley could bend a little.  My engine accidentally tipped forward from my test stand and now my crank pulley is bent.
