I know that you can put a 81 clip on 78 but I was woundering about the hood hinges.  I would also like to know any tips anyone can give about this conversion.

The cowl area has to be cut so you can use the '81-91 hinges.  See this for more info: www.coloradok5.com/grilleswap.shtml
