I've got an 85 K20 long bed, and i just installed a cap. I'm concerned that someone is going to
break into it, the lock on the cap is really cheesy. I saw a K5 for parts near me, and wanted to know
if the tailgate would bolt on. I guess i would either remove the window or leave it down, and lock it.
I've googled and found guys putting truck gates on the K5's so it must be possible right?
Thanks guys

Could it be done? Yes is it a simple swap? I'm going to say no. I have no experience in the swap but the k5 tailgates are hinged while the pick up tailgates kind of ride on some round tubes. Do a search on here I want to say this sounds familiar from a while back but can't remember and I'm on my phone

I'm gonna be watching because it peeks my curiosity.

Am i missing something here? The blazer gate still wouldn't solve the issue of the cheap lock on the cap.
You could keep your gate and relocate the handle to the inside. They make a tailgate handle relocation kit that is popular with the lowered truck crowd. Its cheap money to buy.
Check the store on this site and see if Captkaos can get you one
