About to go look at '73. Has bucket seats. I'm 6'8". Will I fit? Will headroom, legroom or both be a problem?
-
Depends on whether it has factory bucket or not, tilt wheel or not. Our trucks don't have the most room in them. Welcome to the site. Hope it works out

Hopefully it works out, if not you can try to find an extended cab like Zieg has.

Well he has a 5 point harness is definitely not factory seat. I can install tilt wheel myself. Guess we'll see! Thanks!

i have a co-worker who is 6'8. just asked him if he got into one of our chevys, he said no but he did try to drive a 70s f150 regular cab. the steering wheel was his biggest problem cause he was pretty much chest bumping it. ill try to kidnap him today and see if he fits in my crew cab

Thanks I appreciate that, although I don't know how much it will help since I'm getting a regular cab.

i dont know but i think the seat still slides back the same amount on both trucks. i could be wrong, anyone know?

Same distance however the seat back does seem to be reclined some over regular cabs that are against the back of the cab. My extended cab seems to have an extra notch moving the seat back. Never looked into it, may be less padding in the Custom Deluxe seat. It is getting hi-back Suburban seats with the dual armrests if it doesn't sell. I have a good setting pair that just need new covers.
