My stock 15x6 rims just got painted white, got the shiny new dog dish hub caps (oem) and just picked up a set of brand new white walls. Going for the stock grandpa look.

looks great!
goes very well with the mirrors

Looks great! I like it.
-
Love it. I agree that the mirrors and your tires compliment each other. Very sharp looking
-
Is there a name for that green? Matching white looks great.
-
There is no name to this green that i know of. However, factory green for this model is seamist green, i have the code for it.
Question: i know some of these models had white bumpers. mine could have been as the one thats on there is a replacement. How would white look??? But after that, no more white!
And thanks for all comments!

White would look good, the chrome actually looks out of place with the wheels and mirrors.

My father in law had a 3/4 ton green truck with white mirrors, white rims and white bumper. It looked pretty good with a white bumper. He also had a white pinstripe following the body line also. It looked pretty good.

Yes, i feel the same way. I'll get the front bumper painted nice and repost pics. Hey....so what color should my rear bumper be? And by the way, i have the step style for a rear bumper, and it needs replaced. Chrome wont look good by itself, now what?! Can chrome be painted, if so, how?

So....are rear bumpers ever factory white, or should i paint it GM gray?

I've seen them white but usually the non-step bumper. Rear bumpers was always an option on these trucks and back in the day the plain jane trucks came with nothing in back and the dealer installed an aftermarket.
-
I have my original options sticker and it does say step bumper, and no step bumper was ever white. They are chrome or gray. If i paint the front bumper white, and i most likely will, what should i do with the rear. Gray step or a white plain one?
-
I'm leaning towards the plain white. But i'll have to convert and get the brackets. Oh well...
-
I seen one example in my picture book of a crew cab having a white front bumper and a grey step bumper. I've also had trucks that had white step bumpers but aftermarket. It's your truck do what you want and what makes you happy.
-
I have not seen very nany from the factory that were gray steps. Most all of them were white to match the front white bumper which was required.
The rears were whoever was supplying the local dealerships.
-
Yeah, I wish I could do what I want. But it has to be factory stock. This helps a little, but don't show the rear. On one of the videos, you can see a truck with front chrome bumper and white rims.

I've never seen or heard of that. How interesting.

In this ad you can barely see a corner of the rear bumper. It was either painted gray or chrome. I am leaning toward chrome simply because the front bumper is painted.
