Title: 79 Chevy V-8 454 NEED NEW CARB

Hey Folks,

Looking to purchase a new carb for my truck. Anyone have any suggestions…

Its a 2wd 454 v-8 Big Block… Help.

Not looking for the biggest most bad ass carb, although that would be nice. I just need something that will get her running smooth and preferably on the better MPH side… I know i know she's a 454 but still everything helps.

what does it have on it now? a Quadrajet?

I am not sure to be honest. Its stock, and the truck is running poorly with an occasional stall.

might be a vacuum leak or a dirty filter. time to start checking things before a carb replacement or even a carb rebuild
